The story begins with a woman believing she’s marrying the man of her dreams. Suddenly, her life becomes a nightmare. After years of living in darkness, Brenda’s life is snatched away. Her loved ones, who were left behind, are forced to reckon with the pain of losing their mother, daughter, and friend. Still, even in death, Brenda is able to touch those around her who need it the most. Through song, prayer, and the power of God, “Allgood” shows us that we are all stronger than the pain we face, and that we do have the power to leave those who hurt us. In the words of Brenda Allgood herself, all you have to do “is be brave, angel.”
